The Trigger Point Hammer (TPH) is a small handheld clinical percussion hammer. It comes in a TPH-set of 3 different instruments with different therapeutics tips. The tips will lock on to the adjusting rod of the TPH and let the user manually adjust bones by individual force, line of drive, pressure, tissue-pull and torque.

The manual adjustment also make the TPH produce toggle-recoil like thrusts with high velocity motion energy shock waves.
The shock waves may be made by single or multiple adjustments against the vertebrae or extremities and will be transmitted as motion energy and absorbed in the treated tissue. The CNS will generally interpret the shock thrust as a trauma producing changes of the weight bearing function of the posture.
The “Trigger Point Hammer” technique has been developed by Dr. Jens Anders Kjersm, D.C., over the course of many years and is now been taught in the Nordic countries.
